Designer

I am able to use my unique skills of visual designer and thinker to rally people towards a common goal. I bring an expansive view of design – encompassing product, service, and visual communication. Sketching has proved to be my most valued tool for visualising the invisible, giving form to ideas, concepts and strategies.

I want to design better by understanding people, how they think, their needs, values and stories.

Consultant

I bring relevant consumer insights and inspiration to the early phases of the creative development process. Including ongoing strategic council to internal and client teams throughout the course of design assignments and to present formal recommendations to stakeholders. Skilled in graphic design; stakeholder and project management.

Strategist

I combine understanding and experience of business and organisation design; technology tools and trends (software, hardware) both online and offline; keen observation powers to document social interactions and user experience; and the ability to convey all this with well developed design solutions for print and web.

Tech Nerd

I proactively look to understand how technology can advance the possibilities of design, marketing and communication. Technology is a tool. Its doesn't think. But you always need the right tool for the right job — and the know-how to wield it proficiently. Whether technology change is for good or bad depends on the talents and motivations of the people implementing it.

Profile: About gm

I have over 25 years of visual communication experience. I was employed for the last 15 years as a Graphic Designer + Consultant for a digital publishing company across the areas of print and web development.

My previous roles have encompassed: Systems Manager: Pre Press Bureau; Managing and Creative Director: Boutigue Design Studio; Art Director/Studio Manager: Nationally aligned Advertising Agency; and freelance designer.
